Sometimes you have to brag a little. This photo of a red-eyed tree frog in Costa Rica was selected by Natural Habitat Adventures in their “Wildlife Photo of the Day” competition. I’ve entered photos in the past, but this is the first time I’ve won.

Fantastic picture. We have been to Costa Rica and my daughter got some wonderful humming bird pictures, but nothing like this. I was shocked to see your picture on my PBS station and now to discover your blog. You are leading a fantastic life. We lived abroad for 22 years and I thought that travel was a big part of our past, but not adventure travel. I would love to get together.
